The behaviour of the material is controlled by item
category .Item category determines the processing of any
item or material that we enter in a sales order and in this
way it also affects the processing of any sales docs. in
which it is used .
Item category classifies and distinguish the different
types of item and material which sales through sales
order . It helps to determine how system should process
like how pricing condition should pick while processing the
sales order ,etc.
