why are use only 4 to 20ma. signal.

we are using 4 ma instead of 0 ma because the in order to
differentiate 0 input and fault condition(open circuit cable
or transmitter).
we are using maximum of 20ma because current above range can
cause fire or spark from short circuit conditions due to
weak installations.
