what do you mean by leading power factor & lagging power
factor
Answer Posted / n.hemavathy
If in a circuit, current lags behind the voltage then the
resulting power factor is said to be lagging. Ex: Inductive
loads.
If in a circuit, current leads the voltage then the
resulting power factor is said to be leading.
Ex: capacitive loads.
Power factor is the ratio of real power to reactive power.
