Smoke test:-
Smoke testing will done by developpers(some times smoke
& sanity both will done by testers. It happens depending on
the initial build).Smoke testing means testing the
application wether it is accepting or reaching customer
expected requirements or not. They will do only that basic
functionality.
Sanity test:-
Sanity testing will done by Testers.Sanity testing
means ,testing the entire functionality of the application.
For example,
For EmployeeName control, developperes test that it is
accepting alphabets or not, which is called as smoke test.
On the same control testers test that ,wether it is
accepting Special characters,spaces,special characters
also.which is called as sanity test. This is the first
technique, which is done by testers on modified build.
is there any mistakes, let me know through my mail
