how to control the generator output voltage?
what r the condition should satisfy for synchronization?
Answer Posted / prembujju, park institutions
To control the output of the generator we have to consider the
following conditions
1. phase sequence will be same
2.terminal voltage will be same
3.frequency will be same,
if we change the speed of the prime mover we can get
controlled generator output. but fuel input increases which
changes the frequency also. so system not matches for those
three conditions.
on other hand the output of the generator can be
controlled by increasing or decreasing the excitation
depending of the load demands.
