What is the difference between a Transport Domain and a
Transport group.
Answer Posted / roshan
A transport Domain can have multiple transport groups. A
transport is the one wherein you combine all the systems in
one group which will share the common transport directory.
Whereas a Domain Controller is the one box or SID which
would control the transports going in from DEV to TEST and
to PROD. Also the TP command is run from the domain
controller.
If the Domain Controller is down, you cannot do any
transports.
