1. U can schedule for an interview now. You are eligible to
work in the USA from Oct 1st 2008 (if its from 2008 quota)
2. No such condition. U can attend the interview as long as
the petition is valid.
3. Even a fresher can go on H1 visa. You have to prove that
you have the skills what the project demands (do not say
anything on this unless asked to u)

Hi All, I have attended for H1B yesterday in chennai consulate. Interviewer was not happy with the project desc and asked for more documents mostly abt company profile and complete desc.she asked me to drop them in the drop box in hyderabad consulate.but she said not to drop the passport. can anyone let me know what happens next. shall i consider it as lost as she didnt asked for passport? or after checking the documents will i be asked to appear again if she is ok with the docs? or how is it gonna be? I was attened for H1b in chennai embassy,on nov14th 2005, but its in Admin Query, after few months exactly 364 days i got a personnel interview, in that they said we r sending ur file to INS because u dont have background computers, but in MBA i have computers subject i said, and i too worked in Canada for 1.5 years. Till Now i did't get the status, no response what to do....

I am going for H1B interview at Mumbai Consulate very soon so expecting prompt answer for my case. Here is my background: B1/B2 Valid till 2016 Company C Travelled on it L1B valid till 2011 Company B Never Travelled on it H1B Valid Petition till 2011 Company A Not Stamped yet. Going for it. 1. Is there any problem getting H1B stamped as I have not travelled on L1B? 2. Will my L1B cancelled, once H1B got stamped? 3. Is there any problem on H1B stamping, as H1B petition valid since 2008 and going for stamping now in 2010?

hi, i got my h1b in april 2006 and worked in usa until 2008. in nov 2008 i returned india and then back in jan 2010 i applied for tourist visa to usa. i got tourist visa approved but my old h1b visa had a stamped saying "cancelled without prejudice". now if i want to reapply for h1b do i fall in quota of 2006 or 2010? please advise at the soonest thanks
