There are 28 states in India viz. Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal
Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana,
Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala,
Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Manipur,
Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan,
Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and
West Bengal.
