Sir,
I have qualified in the sbi clerical test .Now my
interview is on 16-10-2008.So pls tell me what questions
are asked in the interview and tell me the reference book
for interview in sbi.

State Bank of India (SBI) (LSE: SBID) is the largest bank
in India. It is also, measured by the number of branch
offices and employees, the second largest bank in the
world. The bank was established in 1806 as Bank of
Calcutta, and renamed Bank of Bengal in 1809. It is the
oldest commercial bank in the Indian Subcontinent. The
Government of India nationalised SBI in 1955 with the
Reserve Bank of India having a 60% stake.
SBI provides a range of banking products through its vast
network in India and overseas, including products aimed at
NRIs. With an asset base of $126 billion and its reach, it
is a regional banking behemoth. SBI has laid emphasis on
reducing the huge manpower through Golden handshake schemes
and computerizing its operations. The Bank has also been
trying to improve the attitude of its (by and large) rude
staff through a programme called 'Parivartan' or 'Change'.
While the Bank has been successful in reducing manpower and
computerising operations, it has failed in 'parivartan'
After a 20 year hiatus the Bank will be recruiting 20000
clerks and 3500 officers.[citation needed] So far, more
than 2.4 million have applied. The pick of the universities
and top B schools are vying for these jobs. Those selected
will rise to the level of vice presidents or higher.

Recently i had an interview in SBI on 3rd of MAY. The interview question was as: 1) Tell me 7 wonders ? 2) Who is CM of Karnataka ? 3) How many district in Karnataka ? 4) since my native place is Ramgarh so interviewer asked me that any famous movie based upon this location ? 5) since i am from technical background so they asked me about RAM , Processor , Bluetooth ? 6) They asked some question from current affairs like what is UID and what is census ? 7) What do u know about SBI ? I answred all the question except how many district in Karnataka. Thats it guys. The interview was full of fun. When i answered that movie sholey is based uopn place Ramgarh the moment on that time was funny. All interviwer laughed and i too. There were three interviewer in the room. In front of me the male interviewer had an age of 40-50. In my left side male interviewer had an age of 40-50. In my left side female interviewer had an age of 30-40. When will the result for SBI CLERK 2009 INTERVIEW be declared? CRPD people are telling that result will be declared by September 1st week hope it will come before that but no indication regarding this from SBI officially. I just wanted to suggest something to all SBI CLERK ASPIRANTS let us all start an EMAIL MOVEMENT by writing more and more mails to crpd@sbi.co.in on daily basis regarding to declaration of result result mentioning that they should at least declare the tentative dates published on sbi.co.in please do it u all there is no benefit of sitting idle and waiting for result lets do something itni mail karo ka vo bhi feel kare k how desperate we are about the result?
