1.Factoring is reducing the payments according to the
attendance ie.,If the employee joined in the middle of the
month.
Eg.Loss of Pay if the employee takes leave more than the
quota assigned to him.

2. Link between HR and FICO are Symbolic accounts while
posting payroll to FI,Cost centers,Company code, Global
parameters and ledger accounts are created by fico people
and used by HR.

3.Period Parameter is a 2-digit numerical parameter that
determines the time interval for which payroll is run for a
payroll area. We assign this to Payroll Area and while
Generating payroll periods for the purpose of creating
Control Record.

9.work schedule rule is the description of planned working
time. This is used in generating work schedules manually.

12. Garnishment is basically a deduction in US Payroll. The
legal authority orders to deduct a particular amount from
employee's payslip and pay to third party.
Eg, Divorce case, Tax authority
