What meant by lagging and leading? When if they are
occurred what preventive methods should be taken?

lagging and leading is the relation of current and voltage.
lagging means current achieve its peak value after the
voltage and leading means current achieve is peak value
before the voltage. this leading and lagging is expressed with
respect to time or angle.for example suppose that at time 't'
the value of current is 'i' then in case of lagging at same
time value of voltage will be 'vm'.
