The main purpose of using SAP XI in real time scenario is
to translate and transfer real time data from one system to
another system with error monitoring, because when it is a
realtime data, we don't have a chance to correct it.
When you are using SAP-XI as a middleware, it is easy to
monitor the data transfer, we can have some alerts in SAP-
XI, we can trigger them as and when is required.
We can send mails to the specified person, responsible to
look into the error.
If any error occures in between you can check the error in
run time work-banch of SAP-XI.
If some messages fails, then you can restart them form SAP-
XI itself.
As we all know that SAP-XI is capable to communicate with
SAP to SAP, SAP to Non-SAP and Non-SAP to Non SAP system,
it is easy to configure a scenario only once and can use it
further, and also if there is a requirement at any point of
time to change any back end system then you just need to
change the interface in XI.
