Dimension Table is a table which contains categories and
hierarchies with lowest granule.
Data stored in dimension are nothing but the masters.
Its doesn't store any numeric value or summerised data.

eg.
Product dimension
Customer dimension
Channel dimension
Time dimension
etc..

Time dimension will have the foll records..
Year > Quarter > Month > Week > Day
-------------------------------------
2009 > Qtr-02 > Aug > 35 > 04-sep-08
2009 > Qtr-02 > Aug > 35 > 05-sep-08
2009 > Qtr-02 > Aug > 35 > 06-sep-08
