Why a starter is used for a motor?
Answer Posted / v.selvakumar
if u r using stat delta in induction motor it will reduce
stating current .57(aprrox),in the case of d.c motor
application it limit statrting current according to emf
equation E=v-iara
ia=v-E/ra
where ra aramature is very less.normally in the order of
ohms.at starting E is zero.so ia=v/ra so current will be
high.
