PATTERN OF EXAMINATION PAPERS FOR

GROUP-I SERVICES RECRUITMENT

Paper-I

The candidate will have to write three Essays, one Essay
from each Section. Each Essay carries 50 marks. Each Section
shall have three Topics.

Papers-II, III and IV

The Syllabus is divided into three Sections with each
Section having five units. In total, there are 15 units.
There shall be two questions for each unit of which the
candidate shall have to write one answer. In total the
candidates will write 15 answers. Each answer carries 10 marks.

Paper-V

The syllabus is divided into three Sections, each Section
will have five questions. The candidates will have to answer
all five questions from each Section. In total the
candidates will write 15 answers. Each answer carries 10 marks.

deficiencies, limitations or inconsistencies therein.

3. Problem solving using the following:

a) Sequences and Series : Analogies of numbers and
alphabets, completion of blank spaces in a:b::c:d, odd thing
out, missing number in a sequence or series.

b) Coding and decoding problems : A given word or group of
letters in English are to be coded or decoded based on the
given code(s).

c) Date, time and arrangement problems : Calender and clock
problems, blood relationship and seating arrangements.

d) Passage Analysis : A duly structured situation will be
presented to the candidates and they will be asked to
analyse and suggest their own solution to the problem
arising out of situation. Alternatively, they may be called
