so here we have 12 buttons total
ie 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,ADD,Equalto -12 buttons
here u can press atleat 4 buttons at a time minimum
for example
0+1=
for zero u should press 'zero' labled button
for plus u should press '+' labled button
for one u should press 'one' labled button
for equalto u should press 'equalto' labled button
0+1=
here + and = positions will not vary
so first number position can be varied from 0 to 9 i.e
from permutation and combinations u can fill that space in
10 ways
in the same way
second number position can be varied from 0 to 9 i.e
from permutation and combinations u can fill that space in
10 ways

Total number of possibilities are =10x10=100
This is exhaustive testing methodology and this is not
possible in all cases.
In mathematics we have one policy that the the function
satisfies the starting and ending values of a range
then it can satisfy for entire range of values from
starting to ending.

then we check the starting conditions i.e
one test case for '0+0='
(expected values you know thatis '0')
then another testcase for '9+9='
(expected values you know thatis '18')

only two testcases are enough to test the calculator
functionality.

smoke testing and sanity testings are not same in real.
ofcourse some companies may treat both are same but you
cannot give this answer in intervew.

to avoid Unnecessary confusion,you must know the root from
where these words are originated.

here the word Smoke testing is barrowed from electronics
testing industry.
In electronic manufacturing process after designing the
circuit they will put it for testing.
if there is any fault or miswiring or Miscontacts are there
in circuit then smoke comes out from the circuit.

This testing is called a Smoke testing.
In software industry after build is released from
development team it will be installed in the test server or
testers PC.
Initial test will be conducted to to check the Build
stability by checking the software properly working without
any hangings .
The software navigation controls must work smoothly.
so this can be called Build verification Testing or in a a
short form BVT.
If you come for Sanity testing,This is also called tester
Acceptence testing.
This is to determine, Whether the supplied build is
testable or not,
So Smoke Test -Build Verification Test(BVT)
Sanity Test -Tester Acceptence Test(TAT)
these are the very first tests conducted by the testing
team.
Also called as level -zero tests in STLC.

Test cases for bulb
First check the fillament of the bulb
Then check the bulb having required shap,size,power rating
,candella(illumination)and it's holder.
Then check the required power source is available or not.
(The rated voltage available or not like 230V if it is not
available testing of bulb is incomplete)
Then check the illumination by powering up light.
The bulb should glow immediately after powering up.
The bulb should off immediately after power off.
Check the bulb durability by switching on and off for
some 5 times.

It is impossible to check a complete application within an
hour.

But if whenever thee situation occurs then
you should adapt suitable testing method like
adhovc testing.

Adhoc testing won't have any testcases and testplan tester

functionality defects.

This is nothing but checking main all modules and defect
prone areas.
Main intention is to find major defects in the application.

Follow the below procedure
1.Reproduce the defect
2.Capture the defect screen shots

before going to this you must check your computer hard ware

answer.

Regression testing will be conducted after any bug fixed
or any functionality changed.

During defect fixing procedure some part of coding may be
changed or functionality may be manipulated.In this case
the old testcases will be updated or completely re written
according to new features of the application where bug
fixed area.

Here possible areas
are old test cases will be executed as usual
or some new testcases will be added to existing testcases
or some testcases may be deleted.
