Question { TCS, 3776 }

What do you do to keep yourself ahead of your counterparts?

Answer

Hi. Competitor analysis is very critical in any business, job, or industry. If you've identified who your existing competitors and potential competitors are, half your job is done. All you have to do is workout a strategy. For this, you should be well aware of the competitors' objectives, reach, and the potential. Say, you're looking for a promotion and there are 5 employees at the same level as you are. It's very important that you have an edge over the others and that you highlight/advertise this USP to your boss/management. You don't have to be a crook to pip the competition. You just have to identify their strengths and weaknesses and prepare a strategy that will make you stand out. All the best!

Hello Umi. At times, almost everybody feels less confident. It's only natural. The art of living is all about playing to your strengths. You mentioned your not-so-strong English skills. Remember this: skills can always be acquired with practice; all you need is a 'never-say-die' attitude.

As I am not aware of what industry you're trying to get into or what your academic background is, I cannot give to a solution regarding your employment. Please feel free to get in touch with me for any help related to finding a job. Good luck!

Question { Banking, 3489 }

The fresh fruit contain 90% water and dryfruit contain 20% water if 20kgs of fruits are there.then find the quantity of dryfruits

Answer

20 kilograms of fresh fruits contain 0.1*20 = 2 kilograms of non-water.

Dry fruits obtained from these fresh fruits will contain the same amount of non-water and we are told that this amount should be 80% of the dry fruits; thus, x*0.8 = 2 --> x = 2.5 kilograms.

Answer: 2.5 kilograms

Question { 5177 }

How to give good self introduction for the post of customer service executive in any airlines?

Answer

First impressions are important, so take some time to hone your introduction, and then tweak it depending upon the audience. This question is often asked in interviews, so prepare for it.

Nailing the introduction will break the ice and improve your chances of moving to the next steps. I've interviewed hundreds of people over the years, and often I can tell in the first few minutes if I'm interested in hiring a person.

Your main goals in the introduction are fairly simple. You need to show that you:

-Have the ability and desire to do the job
-Will fit into the company culture, and be good to work with
-Won't quit shortly after being hired

First off, you should try and keep your introduction positive and simple. Don't ramble on for too long. For instance, highlight aspects of your career, interests, accomplishments, education, and / or hobbies that match that of the company and interviewer. It's just a waste of opportunity to repeat what's in your resume. Make best use of this question to advertise your suitability for the job.

Focus on what is directly relevant to the job you are interviewing for and for the person interviewing you. Keep in mind an interview is generally not about how smart you are, or how great of a person you are. It is about your fit for a specific job.

Most interviewers don't have long attention spans, so use this time wisely. Don't assume that your interviewer has read your resume. However, don't simply recite your resume verbatim to your interviewer. Sadly many interviewers are not that well prepared, and don't let that sidetrack you.

Also, keep in mind who is interviewing you. If it's an introductory HR interview, keep things high-level. Even if you are interviewing for a highly technical job, chances are the recruiter will leave that part of the interviewing process to the subject matter expert.

If you are having trouble with this question, re-frame it to: "Why are you are a great fit for this position?"

This is your time to craft your message, so don't bring up anything negative! Even if you are reaching for the job, give an introduction that shows why you deserve it. Never talk yourself out of a job or hedge in the first few minutes.

For example:
If you are a recent college graduate, highlight internships, hobbies, or college projects that relate to the job.
If you are making a career switch, highlight your positive attributes and transferable skills.
If you are looking to make the move to management, highlight specific examples of how you have motivated and led teams.
