Check for system configuration, if its not sufficient
upgrade otherwise follow below steps:-
Go to command prompt(in system root drive) type del *.tmp /s
in prifles delete temp files manually
remove un-required softwares and tool bars
Go to msconfig remove unrequired services
check for virtual memory select it to system managed size.
run virus scan in safe mode

1. Type %temp% in run and press enter, then delete the files.
2. type prefetch in run and press enter, then delete the files.
3. type cleanmgr and press enter then check the options
clean the drives.it will not effect the datas.
3.scan properly with updated antivirus.
