Why is it called syswow64?..

Answer / Anup Kumar Sinha

What happens if you end task syswow64? The SysWoW64 folder is a part of the Windows system and contains 32-bit system DLLs for use with Windows on x64 systems. Ending the task would not have any significant effect, as these DLLs are also available in their 64-bit counterparts.
