What is the difference between imap and pop in outlook?

What is the difference between imap and pop in outlook?..

Answer / Harendra Kumar Yadav

In Outlook, IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) keeps emails, contacts, calendars, and other data on the server and synchronizes them across multiple devices. POP (Post Office Protocol), however, downloads emails from the server to your device and removes them from the server by default. This difference means that IMAP allows for real-time email access and continuous syncing, while POP is more suited for those who want to store emails locally on their devices.
