What is difference between tcp and udp socket?

What is difference between tcp and udp socket?..

Answer / Anshul

The main differences between a TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) socket and a UDP (User Datagram Protocol) socket are that TCP provides reliable, ordered delivery of data, guarantees packet delivery through acknowledgments, verifies data integrity using checksums, and maintains a connection between sender and receiver. In contrast, UDP doesn't guarantee packet delivery or order, has lower overhead, doesn't verify data integrity, and doesn't maintain a connection.
