In Unix-like systems, a daemon is a background process that runs continuously. In Windows, the term 'daemon' is not commonly used, but the equivalent concept is that of a service.nnServices in Windows are programs that run automatically when the operating system starts and continue to run until they are stopped or an error occurs.
