What is secondary namenode?
Answer / Ankur Panday
The Secondary NameNode in Apache HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) is a daemon that helps to reduce the load on the primary NameNode by performing various tasks such as checkpointing and editing logs. The Secondary NameNode does not serve file system requests; it only creates a new image of the filesystem and edits log.
