Is Police Checking Done for getting visa confirmation as
that done when we have applied for passport??
If police checking doesnot include personal interview by
police officals, then how is police clearance done for
getting visa..........

Police Checking is not done for Visa as in case of
Passport. The Consulate (High Commissioner) decide whether
to give you Visa or not, based on the supportive documents
submitted along with the application. In case of UK Visa
you get your passport with or without Visa on 2nd working
at the consulate. In case if you have opted for Courier
service then on 3rd working day it will be delivered at
your doorstep.
Sometimes you can be called for a personal interview. If
High Commissioner is convinced that your case is geniun
then he will issue you a Visa.

Hi , This is Madhusudan from India. I have applied for HSMP when I was in India(6months back) and I got approval also . Right Now I am in Canada on workpermit for my Company assignment.I have to be here for 1 year 6 months. My HSMP aprroval is valied till Feb2009. Hi I've got a work permit to UK which is stamped (visa) in the year 2009 march. Due to some reason I have not travelled so far(2010 march). But the job offer is still open for me and also the Visa is valid till to 2011 march. Now my query is ... Can I travel to UK? for that Do I have to notify at UK ambassy in India that I'm travelling.
