If I sign in for a reserved instance when will the term begin? What happens to the db instance when the term ends?
Answer / Vinita Saini
When you purchase a Reserved Instance (RI), the term begins immediately upon activation. The DB instance is not associated with RIs directly, but you can apply Reserved Capacity to your RDS instances using the RI. When the term of the Reserved Capacity ends, you'll need to renew it or switch back to On-Demand pricing for your RDS instances.
