There are many flow shapes in Pega to complete the required process. Please have a look at basic shapes below:
1- Start Shape ( every flow will have only one start shape)
2- Assignment shape ( to route your work to specific user or WB)
3- Utility Shape ( to call utility type of activity)
4- Subprocess Shape ( to call another flow)
5- Decision shape ( to take some decision)
6-wait shape ( to wait flow for some time)
7- End shape ( to complete flow)

There are some advance flow shapes too like :
1- Integrator shape ( for calling integration )
2- spin off, spin joint and split for each.
3- Savable Data page
