In dealing with sparse data, several techniques can be employed. One approach is to use data compression methods like Compressive Sampling or Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). Another technique is feature hashing which reduces the dimensionality of the data by mapping each feature to a hash bucket. Lastly, we can also use various sparse matrix formats such as CSR (Compressed Sparse Row) or CSC (Compressed Sparse Columns) for efficient storage and manipulation.
