Why CO2 Peak is coming in IR Spectr..

Answer / Rashmi Saroj

Carbon dioxide (CO2) has strong absorption bands in the infrared (IR) region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Specifically, it absorbs radiation at 2.7 micrometers (4.26 um-1), 4.25 micrometers (2.36 um-1), and 15 micrometers (0.67 um-1). These absorption peaks allow IR spectroscopy to detect and quantify CO2 in various samples.
