How can I lock and unlock the VSS database prior to running Analyze or backing up the database?
Answer / Jitender Jain
Visual SourceSafe (VSS) does not have a built-in method to lock or unlock the entire database. However, you can lock individual items within the database, such as files or folders, using the VSS client interface.
