what is clusters and load balancing?..

Answer / narayana charan

A Cluster is a 2 or more computers working together as a
single host to provide continuity in services. Clustering
enables backup support for the services configured in a
cluster. Clusters include Failover Clusters, ACTIVE/PASSIVE
Clusters and ACTIVE ACTIVE clusters. In case of failure of a
host in a cluster the second host automatically picks up the
service and make it available online to the clients with out
interrupting the services.

Load Balancing is different from clustering, load balancing
works only when 2 or more hosts are available. In load
balancing clusters, the configured hosts takes the load and
share it between them to make the services faster.
