what is the difference b/w qtp, winnrunner, testdirector?
Answer Posted / anilkumar kesetti
qtp and winrunner both are the automation tools where as
the test director is test mangement tool to write the test
cases manually and to report the bugs.
qtp got two views which in tems called as expert view and
key word view where as in keyword view there the
user/tester can make use of the keywords accroding to
their diffirent functionalities,so tester dont need much
knoweldge of programming lanuage just need to know the
activites or actions.
qtp requires vb script which is very use to learn and
implement and where as winrunner requires tsl which is
known as test script langauage which is very similar to c
langauage
qtp has got active screen and where as winrunner won't
meanwhile the test analyst can analyze the process and he
can determine the way how the test case or record(testcase
run)iteration of test run and easy to find out the test
case run process.
qtp has 4 types of recordings instead 3 types of recorings
in winrunner
qtp is the dedicated tool to automate the test scripts and
where as winrunner is dedicated for performance testing
where using qtp regression testing is done
and so many qtp scrpits all web based and windows based
aplications and allmost all kinds of [rogramming lanugauges
environments where as winrunner wont...............
as testing remains for ever just like qtp........
