Actually the main difference between steam hammering and
water hammering is, In a steam pipe if there is some water
accumulation it is carried over by the high pressure and
high temperature steam and it creates hammering this is
known as water hammering in steam pipes
Similarly in a water pipe is steam enters it will create
some sound this is known as steam hammering.
