rccb:-it measures the difference in current between live
and neautral conductors of a system.in normal conditions it
is equal.If it is diff. than it indicates that some current
is flowing other than live and neutral
Elcb;-it measures the voltage on earth conductor.If this
voltage is not zero that indiacate a leakage to earth

In Indian Household, generally we receive 220V AC single phase supply. But AC has 2 phases, +ve & -ve. So in +ve half cycle current is flowing...so what happens in the -ve half cycle?? Please illustrate.
