Stator of three phase induction motor creates Rotating
Magnetic field.But why not Transformer?

In the stator the three phase windings are seperated by
120' in space but in transformer no such
displacement...further RMF is formed only by the
interaction of stator flux and rotor flux...but no way to
produce 2-flux interaction in the case of transformer
because of the absence of airgap b/w the windings and the
core as it is wounded directly over the core..
