Stator of three phase induction motor creates Rotating
Magnetic field.But why not Transformer?
Answer Posted / vidhya
In the stator the three phase windings are seperated by
120' in space but in transformer no such
displacement...further RMF is formed only by the
interaction of stator flux and rotor flux...but no way to
produce 2-flux interaction in the case of transformer
because of the absence of airgap b/w the windings and the
core as it is wounded directly over the core..

Dear sir, In our plant have Station Transformer having capacity,i want to know, why LV side 40 - 40MVA is given? & how we can get 6.3 KV supply from tertiary(i.e. Open delta connection), Vector Group YNyn0 - yn0 +d MVA Rating 80MVA / 40 - 40MVA + 26.7MVA Voltage rating 420 (Tap range +6,to -10)81.25% /11.5KV - 11.5KV +6.3KV
I just purchased a 4 position cam switch to be used to operate a 3-speed blower motor. The motor is a 10 amp motor and has 3 wires that are used to control speed. The cam switch was rated at 660V 20 amps but when I received it, I noticed that it has AC-15 operational current rating (Ie) of 4/5 amps. If I am reading the label correctly. the 4/5 amps is related to 440v/220V (Ue). Other ratings are AC-3: 5.5A, AC2: 7.5A and AC-4: 1.5A. My questions are 1) Is it safe to use this switch with the motor I have 2) what is the difference between the 20 amp Ith ratting and the Ie operational ratings?
