one deffectis found then we send it to the developers.and
they released a new build.What we test in that build?The
whole application or the only test cases where we got the
deffect.

It basically dpends on the criticality of the application
and type of defects being fixed -
The testing team may take up one of the below regression
testing after the defect is resolved.
1. Partial Regression testing
2. Reginal Regression testing
2. Full Regression Testing.
However the type of testing carried out depends on
execution time left to complete testing and deadline
oriented.
