In a turn-on snubber ckt. the inductor in parallel decreases
the value of di/dt. thus avoiding localised hotspots and
protecting the thyristor
In a turn-off snubber circuit, the parallel RC ckt
reduces the dv/dt across the thyristor avoiding accidntal
turn on of thyristor.
