Self-driving cars rely on a combination of sensors and perception systems to navigate roads. The most common sensors include lidar, radar, and cameras. Lidar (light detection and ranging) uses light to measure distances, creating detailed 3D maps of the environment. Radar is used for object detection and tracking at long range, even in poor weather conditions. Cameras are used for visual perception, enabling the car to recognize objects, traffic signs, and lane markings. Additionally, GPS is used for location and navigation.
