What criteria do you use when determining when to automate a
test or leave it manual?

If functionality of application is very critical and there
are iterations we go for automation. Sometimes it depends
upon the client’s requirement. If client has specifically
asked for automation we go for automation. Otherwise we go
for manual testing.
