Is there a way to make fpdf/fpdi or zend_pdf support the parsing of pdfs greater than 1.4?

Both FPDF, FPDI, and Zend_Pdf officially support PDF versions up to 1.4. However, some extensions like TFPDF can be used for parsing PDFs greater than version 1.4.
