Explain the fact table and the dimension table?

Answer Posted / Suneel Kumar Sahu

In a data warehouse, a Fact Table stores measurable or quantifiable data about the business events, with each row representing an individual event. It contains numeric values and is connected to one or more Dimension Tables, which provide context and attributes for those facts. Dimension Tables, on the other hand, store descriptive information about the entities in the Fact Table, such as dates, categories, or locations.
