The Lasso Tools in Adobe Photoshop are used for freehand selection of irregularly shaped areas. There are two types of Lasso Tools: the traditional Polygonal Lasso Tool, which creates a selection by drawing straight lines between points; and the Magnetic Lasso Tool, which automatically follows the edges of an object based on color and contrast.
