"The main important files used in Silverlight include: 1. .xap file (Silverlight application package), 2. .aspx or .html (hosting page), 3. .cs (C# code-behind file for C# developers), 4. .xaml (XAML markup file for designing user interface), 5. .resx (Resource files for managing resources like images, strings etc.), 6. App.xaml and App.xaml.cs (Application level resources and startup code)."
