Beaconing is a process used in wireless networks to help devices discover and connect to access points (APs). In beaconing, the AP periodically broadcasts management frames known as beacons, containing essential information such as SSID, supported data rates, and security capabilities. Devices use this information to associate with the appropriate AP.
