How do you you get rid of a disk that is no longer really in the vg?

To remove a disk from a volume group (VG) in IBM AIX, use the lvreduce -r command followed by the name of the logical volume and the name of the physical volume containing the disk to be removed. The '-r' option tells the system to remove the entire physical volume even if it contains more than one logical volume.
