There are six user roles in WordPress: Super Admin, Administrator, Editor, Author, Contributor, and Subscriber. The Super Admin has full control over the network, while the Administrator can manage the entire site. Editors can publish and manage posts including others'. Authors can also write and publish posts but cannot manage other users or edit themes. Contributors can write and manage their posts but need approval to publish from an administrator or editor. Lastly, Subscribers have the least privileges; they can only manage their profile.
