To add a header in Microsoft Word, follow these steps: 1. Navigate to the 'View' tab and click 'Headers and Footers'. 2. In the Header or Footer area, you can insert text, fields, or other content. 3. To modify the header for each section of your document, go to 'Design', then 'Header & Footer Options', and choose 'Different First Page' or 'Different Odd & Even Pages' as needed.
