To edit a Table of Contents (TOC) in Microsoft Word for Mac, first select the TOC. Then go to 'Style' pane and click on the heading style you want to update (e.g., Heading 1). Modify the settings as desired, such as font size or format. To refresh the TOC, right-click it and choose 'Update Field'.
