What do you mean by the high availability of a namenode?
Answer Posted / Dharmendra Singh Rathor
High availability of a namenode refers to its ability to remain operational and provide consistent services even in the event of failures or maintenance. In HDFS, this is achieved through techniques like active-standby configuration, where one namenode acts as the primary (active) while another serves as a secondary backup (standby). If the active fails, the standby takes over without any service interruption.
