Instance Store is block-level storage that is physically attached to an EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instance. Unlike EBS (Elastic Block Storage), Instance Store provides high I/O performance and lower latency, as it does not involve any network involvement between the instance and the storage. However, data persistence is limited because Instance Store is deleted when the instance stops.
