What is the difference between on demand and reserved instances?
Answer Posted / Digvijay Kumar Pal
On-Demand Instances are pay-as-you-go instances in AWS that you can use without any long-term commitments. You pay only for the compute capacity you consume. Reserved Instances offer a significant discounted price compared to On-Demand Instances in exchange for committing to a specific usage pattern (either all-upfront, partial upfront, or no additional payment) for 1 or 3 years.
